Description

- The HI38023 total chlorine test kit, extended range is equipped with all you need to determine total chlorine levels in water.
- During testing, when colour change is achieved, under careful conditions - usually using a burette – the reagent is added, drop by drop, until the solution turns clear. The user will then count how many drops of reagent were used to achieve complete colour dispersal. The number of drops used will determine the chemical concentration and results can be found in the manual included.
- Chlorine is the most commonly used water disinfectant in applications that vary from treatment of drinking water and wastewater, pools' and spas' sanitisation, to food processing and sterilisation.
- The chlorination of water supplies and polluted waters is used mainly to destroy or deactivate disease-producing micro-organisms. It also serves to improve the quality of drinking waters, as chlorine reacts with ammonia, iron, manganese, sulphide and some organic substances
